Kathy Lowrey, General Manager
Kathy Lowrey is honored and delighted to have recently been selected to serve as the  General Manager of the Northshore Harbor Center. She is proud to have been the Sales and Marketing Manager of the Northshore Harbor Center since before the facility opened its doors in May of 2005. Kathy’s proven passion, dedication and support for the mission of the Northshore Harbor Center afford her a distinct advantage over any other candidate that might have been chosen.

Throughout her career, she has provided exemplary leadership performance in start-up as well as turn-around operations. In her current, as well in previous management assignments, she has served as the catalyst for successful business development and overall growth of operations. She has a track record of making decisions that deliver the best results for long term success, while establishing and maintaining lasting customer loyalty. At the Harbor Center, she negotiated significant contracts with the Red Cross, Journey Fellowship and FEMA which allowed the facility to move forward with a steady revenue stream after Hurricane Katrina’s devastation.

Through every step of her career, she has demonstrated a dedication to excellence and an ability to “do whatever it takes” to get the job done. One of her greatest strengths is the ability to cultivate relationships within and outside the organization, recognizing the need for both in order to have a strong and successful business.

Kathy is extremely familiar with the facility and its mission and her qualifications and experience make her uniquely poised to lead the Northshore Harbor Center toward the bright and successful future that it is destined to have.

Ms. Lowrey currently serves on the East St. Tammany Chamber of Commerce Advisory Board. She is also pleased to be a member of the Slidell Women’s Civic Club and enjoys serving the community through her membership. She also sits on both the Special Events/Programs & Education Committee, as well as the Public Relations Committee for Meeting Professionals International. The extensive sales, marketing and management experience she gained has led her to specialize in the development of new business, which enabled her to attain the positions of Vice-President/Director of Sales for Ripley’s Believe It or Not and Director of Sales for New Orleans Tours, as well as other executive positions throughout her career.

She balances her career and volunteer work by spending time with her husband Bruce and their four children, enjoying such hobbies as cruising Lake Pontchartrain and exploring the natural beauty of our area.

“As a resident of St. Tammany, I understand and have a vested interest in the continuing economic growth of this community and the cultivation of the quality of life of our area. As General Manager I will work to ensure that the Northshore Harbor Center will thrive, grow and continue to serve my children and all of those who will benefit from this amazing facility far into the future.”

Arthur Emile Baudoin, Director of Operations

Arthur Emile Baudoin, a Salmen High School graduate, is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the facility's heating, cooling, plumbing and overall building systems.

Before joining the Northshore Harbor Convention Center team, Baudoin served as the building superintendent/engineering supervisor for the Pontchartrain Center in Kenner, a small arena that hosts boxing matches, sports events, concerts, conventions, trade shows and more.

Sarah Myers, Office Manager

Sarah joined the NHC team in September of 2009, bringing twelve years of experience in both non-profit and Fortune 500 settings, after graduating from the University of North Carolina, with a degree in Education and a minor in French.  Born in Louisiana, Sarah has had the privelege of living almost everywhere, but admits to being relieved to be back “home” to stay in Slidell.  Louisiana is the home of several family members, and Sarah’s love of Lake Pontchartrain activities and wildlife drew her to the Slidell area.  Sarah is delighted to be a member of this team, as her personal commitment is service-oriented, and she appreciates being able to welcome folks into the beautiful facility. “Working at the Northshore Harbor Center is a perfect fit for me,” Sarah says.  “I feel so fortunate to be here.  I get the privelege of being the first contact for our clients and partners.  It is an honor to be able to act as hostess for this lovely facility.”
